Update

Although I am currently writing this in January I will be posting pictures from Dec as that's where the majority of the changes occurred. During the month of Dec I spent very little time at the house. School, Working at the tree lot and living in folsom were consuming most of my time. I would have undoubtedly failed in finishing the house by the end of the year I hadn't had any help. As ideas and suggestions were getting tossed back and forth on the bathroom renovation, I concluded to let my mom handle the project start to finish and ended up getting a lot more out of the deal than I bargained for. Luckily. She became the project manager for the house for the month of December which proved to be a lot more than I think she bargained for. I was popping in once a week, overwhelmed by the progress! Layed down the flooring in a new fashion, Carpet in the living room, Carpet in the bedroom, A complete Bathroom Remodel, Pulled all of the paneling inside the living room, and second bedroom, Tape & Texture, Fresh Paint All Around, Paint on the cabinets, Removal of some of the lower cabinets, Light fixture/switch rearrangements, Baseboard/Crownmolding, Linoleum, Stove install, Tile hearth and sheetrock galore. Like I said, there was a lot that went on during the month of Deciembre. Here are some of the pics to prove it! :)

OH YEA, and did I mention a new driveway around the rear of the house to have front door access on the second level! :)

better late than never

So it's been a few months since I completed the purchase of my house. A lot of changes have happened since then.
I am starting this blog to offer any advice or tips about fixing up a house as well as provide some documentation of the progress. At this stage in the game, I don't have much experience in construction but am avidly learning. But will happily accept any suggestions or advice. The pictures included in this post are of how the house looked when I bought it. I am currently living in the remodeled upstairs.
